VLADIVOSTOK, Sep 3 (PRIME) – Russia’s 2020 coal industry development strategy adopted in 2020, cannot be fulfilled because China plans to reduce consumption from 2025, presidential envoy Anatoly Chubais said at the Eastern Economic Forum on Friday.
"We have a coal strategy, it was elaborated with the Siberian Coal Energy Company (SUEK), as I understand… Our strategy has failed, it is impossible to fulfill it in this situation," Chubais said.
The official suggested that the coal companies invest in coal chemistry to stay afloat.
